This page is dedicated to probably the best exponents of modern taxidermy today here in the UK. You are more than welcome to provide pictures and if considered appropriate and do not breach any copywrite then they will be listed accordingly.

Modern taxidermy follows the time honoured tradition of using historic methods of skinning and mounting specimens and combining this with current materials. Silcone gel tends to replace the taping of glass and foam body forms replace traditional "tow" methods of creating bodyforms. Arsenic has been replced with borax powder. These are just someways in which methods have evolved / adapted, but the talent required to reproduce nature and a lifelike pose still remains. Some just do it better than others, but this was the same for Victorian taxidermy also.
