Victorian case of Male and Female Crossbills by FC Waters of Aboyne, Aberdeenshire. J B Waters of Aboyne started the firm in 1850's, this case was undertaken by his son FC Waters. The date of this wonderful case is 1880. The case work follows the family tradition on using all glass cases and painting a subtle watercolour on the back pane of glass.

Victorian case of Razorbills and Guillimott. Beautiful simple case, showing seabirds in natural poses. The maker and date of this case are currently unknown. Another reasonably priced case discovered in Devon.
Wryneck in a wall hanging octagonal case. Victorian Case and very pretty and very well executed small bird. I have seen other similar cases by Homer and Henry Ward.
Victorian Taxidermy Whimbrel in " TE Gunn" style case. This bird was one of a pair and has now been re-cased. The original case had an oil painting of St Leonard's on Sea, coastline in East Sussex, but was beyond practical repair. The date on the painting was 1860.
